From the beginning of time, sacred movement, song and story have brought people together.  The Dances of Universal Peace are part of this timeless tradition of Sacred Dance.

PEACEWORKS International Network for the Dances of Universal Peace was created in 1982 to further the work begun by Samuel L. Lewis.  Inspired by his vision to make the Dances available to all people and unite our world in a great circle of heartfelt dance and song where everyone is welcome.

PEACEWORKS is the coordinating hub linking the many worldwide Dance Circles.  We are a nonprofit, public benefit corporation with an interfaith Advisory Council.  We maintain a registry of international Dance leaders for networking and referral, archive and publish Dance movements and music, publish a journal for our members and sponsor Dance events.

PEACEWORKS cultivates a cooperatively-structured organization through which individuals may grow in openness and compassion as we work for the benefit of the world family.
